Subaru have announced details of the 2018 Liberty.

The new Liberty has a different look due to a revised grille and bumper, new wing mirrors and alloy wheel designs. The whole range has a tweaked daytime running light and the higher spec models have new LED headlamps.

The dashboard looks very similar to the 2018 Outback. The StarLink infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Rear seat passengers can access a dual USB ports. Higher spec cars include navigation, electric heated front seats, sunroof, folding mirrors, keyless entry, leather trim and a surround view monitor.

The Liberty range offers Subaru Eyesight safety package including lane keeping assist, pedestrian detection and avoidance, pre collision braking assist and adaptive cruise control.

The engines have been tweaked and 2.5L 4 cylinder produces 129kW and 235Nm and the 3.6L boxer 6 cylinder produces 191kW and 350Nm. Other tweaks have been made to the set up to improve the driving experience. For example the shock absorbers are designed to minimise body roll.
