Lexus has announced details for the 2018 RX.

The RX will come with two engine options. The RX 350L has a petrol V6, producing 216kW, which is mated to an 8 speed automatic gearbox. The RX 450hL is a hybrid with a petrol V6 producing 193kW, plus an electric motor producing 123kW, which is mated to a stepped 6 speed continuously variable transmission.

As is standard with Lexus the car includes a lot of standard equipment. For example for safety the RX has 10 airbags and Lexus Safety Sense system which includes pre collision warnings, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, auto-levelling and high-beam headlamps, blind-spot monitoring, tyre-pressure monitoring and parking sensors. The base level car infotainment system includes an 8.0 inch screen, 12 speaker audio system plus tri zone climate control. Higher spec cars have 12.3 inch infotainment screen and 15 speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
