Kia has released details of its revised Optima for the European market. Details of the Australian car should be released later this year.
In addition to the exterior changes, e.g. new alloy wheel designs, the car will be available with a turbo charged petrol or turbo charged diesel engine.
The 1.6L four cylinder turbo petrol engine produces 132kW and is mated to a seven speed dual clutch transmission.
The new 1.6L four cylinder turbo diesel produces 100kW and 320Nm.
Equipment upgrades on the new model include driver attention warning and lane keep assist plus a new high resolution 360 degree camera system.
The interior has been updated and includes a new steering wheel, satin chrome trim inserts, new brown cloth and leather upholstery options and even configurable LED ambient lighting which is available in six colours.
